Euromarkpat Kosovo was founded in 2007 by Dr. Fatos Rexhaj and stands as one of Kosovo’s pioneering firms specializing in intellectual property. With extensive experience and proven expertise, we provide comprehensive solutions for protecting and managing industrial property rights.

Since 2022, Mr.Sc. Skënder Sopjani, who initially served as an assistant and was later appointed as Authorized Patent Representative, leads our official representation in intellectual property matters at Euromarkpat Kosovo.

Our services include the prosecution of trademarks, patents, and industrial designs before the Kosovo Industrial Property Office, legal representation in disputes, and the development of effective anti-counterfeiting strategies. Specifically, we offer:

About Mr.Sc. Skënder Sopjani

Mr.Sc. Skënder Sopjani born in Pristina in 1977.

Graduated from the Police Academy in Tirana, Albania, and holds a law degree specializing in civil law from Iliria College, Pristina, Kosovo. He completed his Master’s studies in Diplomacy at the South East European University in Tetovo, North Macedonia. Bringing over two decades of legal experience, he joined Euromarkpat Kosovo in 2022, where he continues to serve as an Kosovarian Patent Attorney.

New Administrative Instruction Concerning Patents Approved

Following promulgation of the New Patent Law, Law No. 04/L-029 of the date August 9, 2011, the Minister of Trade and Industry issued a new regulation concerning the registration of patents. The Administrative Instruction No. 10/2012 on the Procedure for Registration of Patents regulates in detail the filing and granting procedure. It also introduced Electronical Filing of all documents filed with the paper application. Theses additional filings should be completed within 2 weeks from the date of paper filing or 12 months from the earliest date of priority.
